2 Hour Program

Our 2 hour after school program offers approximately 1 hour of riding lessons and 1 hour of unmounted instruction and helps to fulfill the requirements for the Merit Badge.

This after school program is available Monday, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the spring and fall.

A minimum of 10 riders is required with a maximum of 24. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the reservation.

 

 

Overnight Program

Many scout troops prefer the Friday/Saturday overnight program, which also gives an opportunity to work toward their Merit Badge. In addition to your riding lesson, the fee includes lodging, a hayride and breakfast.

A minimum of 15 riders is required with a maximim of 35. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to hold the reservation.

 

Jr. Girl Scout Horseback Rider's Badge Weekends

These Special Weekend programs are offered in the spring and again in the fall through the Black Hawk Girl Scout Council.

The program includes 2 nights lodging, 5 meals and activities.

Activities include 2-3 riding sessions and approximately 5 sessions of unmounted instruction. Scouts learn how to ride a horse as well as how to behave safely around a horse, lead a horse, groom and saddle, plus various other horse-related topics.
